Re: Black Magic Squid Snatchers - opinions?

I can't believe people actually put that much thought into squid fishing. We've been catching them for 30 years on some of the crappiest jigs you could imagine. It's far from rocket science :rf: :rf: On the other hand, there are forums dedicated to squidding, and super-pricey EGI gear too lol Whate...

Cheers Varying sizes I would imagine, you're asking me to remember something from a long time ago. We would use the same j...

Then match the braid (in PE / diameter, not weight) to the species targeted. The way I see it: 1/4oz Jig head + 4" SP is ...

Re: Permit to go off track

This is yet another level of state revenue raising - I'll be voting accordingly in November.
Plus, the two years of lockdowns and "rules" was more than enough for me.

21st & 23rd September

First days of kayak-friendly weather - so I've decided to venture out. Both times morning, incoming tide & overcast: 21/09 - seven pinkies on SP, a micro-salmon, squid didn't want to play 23/09 - two micro pinkies on SP & HB, no squid, a few boats moving around, don't think they were getting anythin...

Re: Daiwa Beefstick Z vs UglyStik Gold II

Hi Sneaky1, As someone without a yak, i would also rather be on one haha! But, I can see how pier fishing would be a more reliable option pier wise. I recently got an 802 Beefstick Z and absolutely loved it. Balanced perfectly with a 4000 thunnus. I had to leave it in brisbane where I bought it, an...
