Re: Getting on with boat re-build
Things are going slowly along. difficult finding spare time at the minute. Finished off bait well lids at the back, fitted new bollards and am fitting a new rod holder in the gunnel specifically for the down rigger. Having difficulty re routing the fuel filler to the gunnel, was in the motor well be...

Re: Just purchased a potential rebuild candidate
Cobby is 100% right here. Most production boats of the 80's to 90's weren't exactly done with longivity in mind, the stringers were barely protected in quite a pre historic manner. Ply treated properly and protected will last the journey, mine lasted 30 years and only failed due to a leak. They had ...

Even when something is said in a joking context, you still add your stupid generic popcorn response which only adds fuel to the fire... it was funny in 2013, it's not now, so shut up!...

Re: dhuey
In shallow on sand, Cut a flap style pilchard, hook completely buried/covered, small keeper hook holding bait straight. You get one crack at it with this soft bait set up,,, they come on the bite real quick and shut down just as quick. was caught on really light gear and seriously had my doubts abou...

An Idiot, maybe, Yeah, but we've all done it. I got 20 km out once and realised my bungs were out, quick thinking and my dual bilge pumps saved us, just. Yes, should have had his pdf on. Bilge pump , well if you leave your bungs out and expect your bilge pump to keep up with the water coming in, whe...

Re: How far do you cast away from your boat??
This always amazes me ! There's a great saying I was taught, many moons ago........ FISH YA FEET FIRST. Absolutely nothing at all in the theory of what distance you cast from a boat. In fact, apply that rule to any type of fishing, rock/surf etc. Caught many a good fish arriving on rocks, landbased,...
