Hi Drop bear, they did make a 4 cylinder 2 stroke 40, right up to the mid 90's, then they changed them to a 3 cylinder. there was a marina version as well and a 50 hp. Jamie, I made some notes after I spoke with the BlueSeas guy ( amazing) Basically, it will mean you can flatten the house battery, but the start battery will be isolated to protect it.
