Re: Snapper fishing may be banned for three years in SA

So we should bring back netters and encourage long lining as well because it was all a big mistake ? Seems like they are doing it the correct way in SA then after all ? Another breeding cycle should fix it all up. Job done. Now you're twisting **** to suit yourself. I merely highlighted how much bu...

Re: Apparently the end just broke of Frankston jetty...

Now's about time to put some words in with bbv, parks and council about getting it rebuilt as a safe harbour that's only been needed for 60 years.

At the very least get the thing rebuilt to its proper original length

Re: Warneet - Bait enroute - Suggestions?

What time are you going? Warneet general store sell bait, no doubt a servo in cranny sells bait otherwise detour slightly as the APCO on Hall rd/Dandy Hastings rd definently does. Can then keep going straight and get to Warneet via Pearcedale or cut back in to Cranny and go from there

Re: Snapper fishing may be banned for three years in SA

Cobby.. Just to clarify your saying that the banning of commercial fishing in the bay has not and will not improve snapper stocks? This is not a smart ass question either, i haven't looked at the scientific figures but that seems a little unusual? To make it simple for all let's say there's 1000 Sn...

Re: declaring your manufacturer/distributor allegiances

If it works to or beyond expectation in my experiences then I'll drop the name as a recommendation regardless of brand. If something doesn't perform or last as long as another then I won't recommend it. Fiberglass over tin in 99% of cases and I won't plug work related stuff because that's up to each...

Re: Kingfish Barwon Heads PPB rip

Baits live. Squid, Yakkas, slimys, gars, salmon/tommies. Learn how to bridle rig live baits for best presentation and life out of the fish or where to hook a squid without killing it. Dead baits will need chin weights to get them swimming right. Strips and the like fresh does work, but mostly only g...

Re: Haines day.

That grey v17 is sexy and I like the 565L too! I'm tempted to sell my savage bay runner when it's back from the doctors, and I'll be looking at an old Haines hull. The turquoise blue 565 with the white 225 Merc? It's even better looking in the flesh. Originally was a clapped out rotted 565F centre ...
