Re: My 2018/19 Trout season Report..
WOW and wow Adrian. Very impressive on all levels. Very interesting to see the "learning curve" in the first few years, for both learning on the angling side and the learning about the rivers too. The Mersey is my favourite river, for an un-explainable reason but it does have a soft spot for me. Sa...

Re: Trout lures/flies discussion
As you can see in the photos (drying them out after taking a dive in the river last season  ) I carry a large variety of lures when trout fishing. Brown trout can be on or off most times of the season especially if the water is below 6 degrees or above 21 degrees.. Early season the gold. silve...

Re: Do you read fishing books/magazines?
I used to get the AFN magazine on a regular basis once but stopped buying them around four years ago.. I still get the Tasmanian fishing & boating news magazine each month.. I do have some trout & salt water fishing books that I still have a look through from time to time, some going back to the ear...

Re: Show us your purchases!
^^^ The lure is a 'fizzer'...or at least I think that is what it is called as it has a prop at the end. A thread I started a while ago had positive comments about this type of lure. I should have waited until next cod season instead of getting it now. That is more do what I meant. Cheers Team Impat...

Re: Show us your purchases!
I received a few nice light weight lures from Spain today, 50mm floating 3 gram hard body in a rainbow trout pattern.. Hopefully they'll suck a few Tassie trout in next season & they're not made in China either.. cheers Adrian Light weight trout lure. 9997 (Medium).JPG Light weight trout lures. 9996...

Re: Who is the oldest active member
I'm not the oldest, at 73 years I still manage to get in a river as often as possible.. though I must admit, it's not getting any easier fishing these rivers down here as each season comes around.. But I'm not ready to toss in the towel yet...

Re: Patch fix breathable wader
I used Aquaseal on my Redington breathable waders and it held up okay.. Mine was on the outside above knee height, not sure how it would go around the knee area with bending of the knees, though it is a flexible glue so it may do the job.. https://www.wildfiresports.com.au/gear-aid-aquaseal-fd-repai...
