Trout No.500 & it didn't come easy.

Trout No 500 caught & it didn't come easy.. Headed off to the Meander River to catch trout number 500 today, something I thought would come nice and quick in the river. Thing is I was pretty slack in getting up to start with and I wasn't in the river until 9:30am after a 1.5 km walk, the sun was wel...

Water level was low but still good enough to be able to pick up a few trout. Well, it turned out to be a top day...

Re: Trout No.500 & it didn't come easy.

Great job Adrian As I was reading and got to your three way choice conundrum, I did feel your pain not only of the difficulty up to that point but also a choice is hard to reverse if the chosen River works out to not want to give up it's trout. April 27th The day before season closure.. Had a hunt around on Google Earth to find a new small tannin water to try out to see if there may be a trout or two in one. Did find one that I had found several years ago and forgot all about it. Was a little undecided about going today(27th) due to gale f...

Re: Olives for the Salad

Time consuming Bill but always well worth the effort..
Just love black & green olives, especially in a salad.. A friend of mine who lives at American River on Kangaroo Island always picked & preserved olives from the trees that grow wild over there..

cheers
