Headed down down to the penninsula late last night and set up a cpl of light surf rods and a jig under a float. Got the first squid pretty much straight away then the tings were very touchy only picking up 3 and missed one other good bite. Was pretty quiet for this spot but hopefully they will pick up soon. Squid/prawn cocktail worked the best. Only bycatch for the session was a baby banjo.

A couple of trips on the tings in the last week or so. Have posted them on the forum already, but may as well put em here I guess :P

They're mostly 40 - 46cm fish too, and pretty solid.

Some fantastic hauls there Scraglor! Im guessing you were fishing out of WP to have that mixed bag and the size of the KGW! Were you at the top end or bottom of the port?

Hey Shazz, yeah, in Westernport. We're PPB fishermen for a good decade or so, and just converted to WPB. We're never looking back haha. We were in the middle spit area. I know ur land based, but if you ever go out in a boat, shoot me a PM and i will point you in the right direction
