I just cut up pilchards into cubes and into the pot for whiting burley and always works a treat. the pellets good?

Where i fish if i berley up all that comes in are huge leatheries during the day and port jacksons at night.
I dont bother with the berley for whiting anymore as i just get junk instead.
I do fish down the bottom end though. I thought berley would just bring toadies up the top end of the port

May I suggest adding aniseed oil to add to the mix and as was mentioned old pillies munched up too.

In my burly bucket, I have pellets, crushed up pippies n mixed or cut up Pillies.
If the kgw are around ussaly couple handfuls of pellets will get them going ...
