23/12/11 Whiting Are Biting

Post by Beno » Fri Dec 23, 2011 3:44 pm

G,Day guys

It was a beautiful day to be out fishing no matter where you were around PPB or Westernport so me and Benson decide to hit Balnarring beach for some whiting. The action was slow at first but Benson had his first bite and he was on, i was then helping him get the fish off the hook when I see my surf rod buckle over :r and I also had my first whiting which both were the respectable size of 40cm. The action slowed down again until I had another decent bite which resulted in a smaller KGW, a flathead soon came after the run out tide but was only just on legal so threw it back.

Get ready for upcoming whiting video!

Heres some pics.

Cheers Beno

love the KGW! Great effort land based.

Getting them all in Port Phillip Bat at the moment.

May have to venture over to Western Port soon.

nice BIG KGW being caught from Portsea pier but the action is not quite hot yet. Maybe because no one was using the best bait. Will grab some pink nippers and head down that area when the weather settles a bit.

Any news on Brighton Pier just before the rocks?
