Basti just broke 5 metres!
I like the fact he has nearly the same from both fresh and salt. That's some good fishing skills right there
Duckles and I talked about it right back at the start of the first time we did this. I don't think there is a better test of an all round angler than this kind of comp. Not only skills, but determinatino, resilience, consistency......

It's hard to stop doing what you know is successful to go and target something else, and it's even harder to put in the long sessions targetting fish that may or may not be there at all. Basti is freaking killing it.
This is the exact reason I made the comp in the first place

Now I need to catch some more fish before basti's lead become unattainable

As someone new to fishing it's been good to have this to kind of force me to try new things and do a bit of research (aka copy better fishermen than me). Doubt I'll challenge for the lead but I'm pretty determined to knock over every species.

A very, very long day of fishing for one hook up, but i ticked another one off the list. did a trip for bass earlier in the week and had one follow from two guys throwing lures for 5 or so hours. hopefully soon

So... I forgot about the comp in my haste to get the old girl back in. Also got a decent squid to enter which is dinner that I forgot about too. I will post up a report.
