Try some cinnamon and brown sugar into the salmon next time then smoke it. You'll be amazed at how well the meat turns outducky wrote:I'm over the species comp by the way.
Last night I ate the salmon I caught on the weekend. Smoked. I doubt I'll be fishing for anything else hahaha. Delicious. Give it a crack!

Start on the jew hunt dougie.
I don't reckon I'll ever throw back another salmon after how delicious last nights fish were. There'll be more gunna trips in the pipeline for me that's for sure.

I wet brined for 2 days. Salt and brown sugar. Decent dash of Worcestershire and a good amount of dried garlic flakes. Was on point.skuxliss wrote:Try some cinnamon and brown sugar into the salmon next time then smoke it. You'll be amazed at how well the meat turns outducky wrote:I'm over the species comp by the way.

Nice bass mate.
I agree with the jewies. I'm 0/12 at the moment landbased (plastics) On sat I even dropped live salmon down and very slow trolled them through hotspots and didn't have any luck.

thanks guys. ducky i've been alternating between plastics and bait. tried live mullet when i can get them (read: i can't, the last two i used were donated), butterflied and fillets of salmon trev and fresh squid. should only be a matter of time but i can't help feeling the frustrationducky wrote:Basti wrote:bass upgrade 43cm. check out what he did to my lure. jewfish are gonna break me btw
