FV Snapper comp!

Post by Rod Bender » Wed Oct 15, 2014 7:12 pm

Hi all!
Well it’s on! The first of Tacklenuts comps. The target species is Snapper. To give land base anglers a good chance we are going with a ‘secret length' style comp. This comp is open to all members, including members who aren't members yet! :) In other words, anyone who joins up before the end of the comp.

So what do you have to do?

Catch a Snapper…from any state. :)

Get a pic or two (don't bother photographing undersize fish) with the code word . At least one pic must show the entire length of the fish on a brag mat/ruler. If the length (nose to tip of tail) is not clear in the pic…get a close up of the tail...so two pics will be required.

Post your pics on this thread and nominate the length…to the nearest mm.

You can enter as many times as you want. Comp closes on Sunday 30th November 2014 at 10pm.
Be accurate with your length estimate. We will not be announcing the winner until the end so if more than one person has the secret length, the winner will be the first person who posted the entry.

So all entries on this thread please and comments / questions...regarding this comp! Knock yourselves out!

Prize provided by Tacklenut includes the following:
15lb x 125yd Spiderwire Ultracast 8 Carrier PE Braid

20lb x 175yd Stren Original Mono Hi-Viz Gold

Stren 40lb x 50yds Monofilament Leader

2 Packs of Slam Soft Baits with Stimulate, 1 pack Pilchard, 1 pack Nitro Chicken

Eagle Claw Lazer Sharp Octopus pack, 4/0 x 25 Red Hooks

Rapala VMC Sports Circle Hooks, 5/0 x 20 Black Nicklel from loose stock
Cheers
Jim

Code word is 'FVSNAPPER'

Hi Jim,

Assuming I can enter the same fish in this comp as I do in the species comp?

Props to Tacklenick for putting up prizes and to you for organising it!
