Anyone here competing in the marybyrnong masters this weekend? Even if Ur not it would b worthwhile wetting a line n trying Ur luck alongside alot of other fishos talk fishing with anglers of all ages maybe even learn a thing or two I know I'll b there hope to meet n greet some of the forum members!

It generally attracts quite a bit of attention n brings alot of heads down to wet a line

Yeah its an inter club comp there's roughly 7/8 clubs participating so well over 100 competitors but there's always mates kids missos etc it's generally a good day out

the comp was won by Footscray A.C the biggest fish was about 770gms by Spiro of Essendon A.C and he had a bag of about 2.3 kg all of spiro's fish were released. I managed 6 fish lost 3 to the snags and 3 under size biggest fish 27.5 cm.It was good to be back on the water after months of working on the holiday house and the weather was good also we had everything sun/rain/wind/cloud and more sun

Yes spiro won biggest bream biggest bag biggest other species n biggest release! He had a good crack at that comp!!

Preston angling club won ALOT of the raffle! N like true Aussie spirit they chose most of the Eakins haha think they landed 10 eskies total
