Nice  such a great event.
Were they all boaters?

Wish I had a boat, I would compete for sure.

A question for the people who fished it this year...will you do it again next year assuming it runs? Was it run well....I assume the app worked fine?

Sounds like good comp, will start looking at next years dates when available. How did the land based guys go, or was it mainly the boaties who did well.

Yes, we will be entering again next year, but we are going to have a plan on what to fish for and when, instead of just going out and trying to catch something. I think we've learnt a little bit by attending this yr and it will def help us next yr.

No the app was friggen useless, it's a complaint made by hundreds that entered this yr.

At the end of the day, it was a great weekend, we did some fishing and failed, but what I think we learnt will be far more valuable for future competitions, when and if we enter them.

In reply to Seb and kenzie, they didn't have a list of what was taken from landbased/kayak as apposed to boat, it def would have been very interesting to see those separate results, I would however say, that a major majority of the fish came from boat based anglers.

I am thinking of entering next year if it runs.
I mean if the winning fish was only 110ish cm then i should work out how to spend the money now

They say next year will be bigger and better. If they make it bigger as in entries they will need to make changes if they want better, way too much traffic on the water this year in my opinion, cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them
