Yamashita Squid Comp - Fishing Fever

YAMASITA SQUID SERIES FISHING FEVER 25th-26th June 2011

Really wanted to enter this comp, but it was the wifes Birthday weekend...

Did any of you guys/gals enter?

Would love to hear any reports? (ie: was was the biggest squid caught?) :thumbsup:

The Yamasita Squid Series Fishing Fever round is on this weekend in Western Port. The tournament is a 2 day event 7am-2pm each day, with teams of 2 anglers competing to qualify for the Grand Final, each round has its own prize pool and point accumulation for team of the year. First prize is $1000.

I wish I could if entered, I do know that the guy from think big and his kid got 5th with 5 fish and they didn't get any the second day

After a torturous day on the water for the teams today the results are in.



All weights are for 3 squid per day



1. Little Hooker - Day 1; 3.675kg - Day 2; 3.085kg with a total 6.760kg
2. MrFisho\Pelagic Extreme - Day 1; 2.175kg - Day 2; 2.195 with a total 4.370kg
3. Peninsula Total Tackle - Day 1; 3.125kg - Day 2; 1.130kg total 4.255kg
4. Fishing Fever - Day 1; 2.245kg - Day 2; 1.815kg total 4.060kg
5. Shimano Barcrusher - Day 1; 3.575kg - Day 2; 0kg total 3.575kg
6. Victorian Saltwater Fishing - Day 1; 1.670kg - Day 2; .365kg total
7. Gladiator Gan Craft - Day 1; 1.350kg - Day 2; .580kg
8. Yamashita - Day 1; DNF-.750kg - Day 2; .835kg



Big Squid was taken out by Little hooker with a 1.590kg squid

Congrats to Little hooker smallest boat in terrible conditions to take out both days and the big squid

I would have loved to entered, but unfortunately don't have a bout and couldn't afford it at present.
