Re: Pirtek Fishing Challenge 2014!
We've got Bream or Brown Trout to fish for here in Tassie so I'll be going for the Browns.
Good Luck to every one who has entered, all for a good cause whether you fish it or not too.
cheers
Adrian

Re: Pirtek Fishing Challenge 2014!
thinking of entering,
can someone clarify something for me,
is winning fish the biggest fish in each category or the closest to the mystery length?
where are people thinking of fishing on sunday?

There is a prize for largest (length) of each variety. However, the best prize is the mystery length for each species. Every entrant can only enter one fish on the day - not sure why but they the rules!smile0784 wrote:thinking of entering,

Re: Pirtek Fishing Challenge 2014!
I think the Random length is just that? I think the Salmon last year was something like 43.7cm?
Not a bad idea though, means everyone is in with a shot My problem is how to take a pic of the fish on the mat in the Yak?

Re: Pirtek Fishing Challenge 2014!
your right there - last pirtek trying to get a pic of a flatty on those slippery pirtex measure mats was a jokeLongshot wrote:Not a bad idea though, means everyone is in with a shot My problem is how to take a pic of the fish on the mat in the Yak?
We were out in at least 15 kt wind at Cleeland Bight and it was pretty bumpy - the fish just kept sliding off the mat
it would have been easier to brain spike them first but pirtex wont only live fish measured

Re: Pirtek Fishing Challenge 2014!
Bugger, I was going to ask the Yak guru's advice too!!
My thought is gluing the mat to a small bit of laminate flooring, with 2 big elastic bands on it,
one band each end of the fish to hold it to the mat, and just strap the board to the side of the yak?
