One question, What's a roach and how do I catch one?
ducky wrote: dougie, roach are a small pest species sort of like a combo between carp and redfin. can find them in a lot of suburban waterways.
Just to add to this, I've caught a lot of roach targeting carp at Pykes Creek.
Small hooks, corn or worms for bait. Biggest I've caught is around 25cm, lol.
2015 Goals -
-First Squid
-Trout on SP
-First Murray Cod
-Rainbow over 40cm
-Redfin over 40cm

From memory I read a post in one of the two related threads...there is no freshwater equivalent (size wise) to keep it to an even playing field. On saying that, I have no idea how long the eel can grow too. I may be corrected too on my reason for the gummies exclusion...sorry but I don't have time to go back and check.

As for Leatherjackets being a pest, the freshwater list has at least one pest included! Likely more depending on the way you look at it...depending on who you talk to! :-D
cheers
