After reading these I'm now wondering what cod "dont" eat?

Not suggesting anyone does but tis a no no to use imported prawns as bait.

Are prawns from the supermarket labelled with the country of origin? Can you always get local prawns?

They are labeled at Woolies in the deli.
White spot is the issue (as others have said)
