Looking for some tips - Box Hill Area

Post by bclayton16 » Mon Sep 23, 2019 3:51 pm

Hi everyone, I recently moved to the Box Hill area and I’m struggling to pinpoint good spots within a reasonable driving distance (ie. 1 hour or so). I’ve been to Rye Pier and Devilbend Reservior this year but not had a whole lot of luck. Just got a new lighter rod and reel, starting to look for good Trout, Bream or Whiting spots anyone can suggest? Not looking to steal anyone’s secret spots but just a general indication in the right direction would be awesome. Thank you!

The Yarra river is a good option your only 15 minutes away and as the weather starts to warm up anywhere between Templestowe and Warrandyte will be good fishing especially in the evenings.

I live in the area. If i am desperate for a fish, there are nice ones along Carrington Road. There are more in the nearby area.
