Re: Reeling rubbish
Went for a quick session and I was annoyed to see that some pigs left their rubbish again. I cleaned up the plastics and surprise surprise I found a small tackle box with heaps of swivels and scissors. Mine now. If a member here owns the lot, come and see me after you clean up the place and I will hand back what I found.

Re: Reeling rubbish
I am saddened by the amount of rubbish I find at the bankside in such a beautiful country. Like everyone here I do my best to pick it up and discard it properly.
There is no such thing as a stupid question, only a stupid answer.
Re: Reeling rubbish
The rubbish is not just at fishing spots, I see stuff left out on nature strips, garbage bags dumped at the roadside, glass bottles left on the beach in summer, etc. etc., it seems that there is a certain part of the community that just do not give a stuff, and unfortunately, this results in more regulation, higher council rates, and loss of access for the rest of us. Very sad but this is the reality.

Re: Reeling rubbish
this is why i dont mention my fav spot around the otways, too many people are pigs.
its not hard to put rubbish in a plastic bag, then in a bin.
stoney creek last night there where cans, a bucket an packaging an the bin is less then 30ft away.
couldint explain why there was a fox at 4am that wouldn't **** off

Re: Reeling rubbish
I see people eating in maccas carpark then just open the window and dump the rubbish and drive off. I cant explain why people would litter especially when in the bush I think its how they are brought up

Unless I go to a less popular spot, I'm always coming across rubbish. I sometimes find it very disheartening & sometimes makes my day out fishing less enjoyable.

Re: Reeling rubbish
It starts at home. I take my 6 y.o fishing and drill into her that if she wants to be fishing when she is grown up she need to respect the environment and the fish. ie. she needs to take all her rubbish home and return all under size or unwanted fish (except noxious species of course). The only places I go where I don't regularly see rubbish is on private property.
