Apparently it's absolutely stunning.....and drops straight into 15m of water.
Lol..."Doug, that's not a tree root, it's a copperhead"...wearing my beach sandals just makes me concentrate a bit more..

While falling through waist deep mutton bird nests.....

I can see the family conversation happening in that nest right now.

"What's that dad?"

"That's a croc son"

"oohhhh THAT'S the giant murderous apex predator you told us to watch out for?"

"No Son, this is something much, much worse."

I have done the walk and it is a very nice location.

I haven't fished there but charts indicate 10-15m of water about 50m from land.

Should be a great location.

Read online that the place is very deep, weedy and stacks of parrot fish. Still looks like a great place to explore

Have fished that ledge a few times..as for squid just bring a jig :D there is a fair few squid there too
Water is about 12meters+ at your feet. Gets deeper slightly further out.
Not worth fishing the bottom as you will get snagged just about every time
Plenty of couta and parrot looking fish(some big ones too) alot of fun on plastics!
Have spun there with heavier gear and ballooned out live squid but no success. The place has good potential though.
There's another point about half way back where we fished and we're getting salmon nearly every cast
A very stunning spot to fish.. It always LOOKS very fishy lol.
Good luck if you do end up going

Thank you all for the feedback.

Abzz do you have an opinion on an extra long leader breakaway or pulley rig to try and counter the snags? Don't mind dropping a few sinkers if it means i can keep a decent bait on the bottom.
