2012 Shimano Stradic 4000FJ

got my tax refund and I am planning to buy a new toy. I saw the 2012 Stradic 4000FJ in eBay. Cheap at $180 delivered! At 300 grams, this is not light. Anyone seen this locally, bought this, or at least played with it on local tackle shops?

Very nice! lol.. ive played wit em FC ,.. felt balanced i liked it and i was very close on to getting it but i went wit the daiwa emeraldas instead.. but am still planning to get a 4000FJ for more of my bream rod later on.

Saltiga?.....forget it. :tongue: . Not going to spend that much for a reel intended for spinning for salmon. :roflmao: My tax refund is only good for 4 saltigas and I can buy a lot of stradics for the same money. :haha2:

Looks like a good reel , i got a couple small of older white Shimano stradics made in Japan . but i prefer Daiwa reels to be honest , i doubt it would be a bad reel "go for it"

I am a Shimano fan. I have the older models too. 3 x Sustain, the gold reel and 3 of those pearl stradics made in Japan - 2 x 2500 and 1 x 5000 plus 2 x Stradic Mgfa 2500.

Will visit BCF tomorrow. Might buy the CI4 from eBay for $208 delivered if I will not like this new FJ.

why buy new reel? I am a tackle rat.

there are many ways to skin a cat, I mean ATO. Nah....I cashed out some of my long service leave and I was taxed at the top rate on those. So when I filed my tax return I got some extra refund than I expected. Too bad the missus learned about it. Why did I link my bank account to my wife's. :wall:
