Top Notch Fishing Season
It's been a ripper season on the water for myself and crew with 350 hours notched up on the outboard since the start of september :water: , and although the season isn't finished quite yet I thought I'd share some photos:
First go on the barrel's in september, 3 days at Apollo Bay and we nabbed this 80kg model in the last hour
Trout fishing in the local creeks
An early crack at the kings in September, up at Eden
The boat soaking up the rays at Welshpool
First snapper of the season, just missed out on a September Red, with dad's first for the season following soon after
Some thumping squid about this season, this was a PB for my mate
Fishing in a local dam to finally get my first yellowbelly, for the Fishing Vic comp
Smashing big yank flathead on soft plastics in half a metre of water
More snapper, with the odd gummy to keep it interesting, we were spoilt with the weather being great through October.
Early season kings, towards the end of november out of welshpool, what an awesome day that was with great weather too
Next day straight back on the reds
Was very busy during December starting a new job so the fishing was reasonably quiet. Finally got up to Bermi at the end of Jan for some marlin action on a mate's boat.
Got my first marlin ever during the Bluewater Classic, unreal!
Back down at Phillip Island, trying to get some kings but these bloody huge salmon kept ruining our day! Could've been worse
The best trip of the season. Kings, Mahi Mahi and christened the boat with its first marlin in style, all in the space of a 3 day weekend at Eden
Back on the kings once more out of Welshpool, they turned it on after all the other boats dissipated when the wind picked up
I snuck up a day early before dad to Bermagui, to have a crack at a solo marlin, and it didn't disappoint in ordinary conditions
Another trip up a few weeks later and I was onto my 3rd marlin of the season/ever, nothing can beat it!
Hope you all enjoyed! Now its time to try my hand at some bluefin once more!

Great report mate. Love your work as always. The game fishing success you've had is amazing. I love the little streams in the Otways, so many good spots that are relatively unknown.

Green with envy mate. Jesus Christ that's some awesome fishing.
350 hours on the motor in 6 months is damn near commercial hours haha. What do you do for work that allows that much time off?
