Hazelwood to open for fishing 9th Dec
Well just saw the announcement that Hazelwood is open for fishing from 9th Dec.
Boats will be restricted but as a land based fishermen I am not worried about that.
So how many people will be crowding the banks from next Friday and into the weekend? I suspect it will be chaos.
Think I will give it a good couple of weeks and then may make the trip down myself to give it a crack.

Have just spent some time google earth'ing the area - seems access and parking will be at a premium, even for land based.
may have to look at a day off work and to avoid the weekend insanity that is sure to happen - although with the Christmas break pending ........

I am sure it has been illegally fished already, no doubt it will be flogged and the rules flouted.

Thers are fisheries officers there now patrolling the area.

Good to hear, shame really the plant is closing as it could have been ongoing tourist attraction to the area.
