Where do you buy your fishing gear?

Post by HyperX » Fri Jan 20, 2017 7:05 pm

So I was wanting to buy a new egiing rod and and having a look at BCF and anaconda only to realise that even on sale, their price is more expensive compared to buying it online. But I'm rather worried about the rod being shipped even though I'm sure that the stores would do a proper job in composing it.

So where is every ones go to place for buying fishing gear? Am I just being too cheap to buy at retails?

Rui has a new batch of rods in. For eging, they are fantastic, designed by Rui, who is primarily a squid angler.

I try to use local tackleshops small businesses, I used to occasionally shop at one in Cranbourne not anymore.
Complete Angler, Fishing Fever, Jim in San Remo and Rod Bending in Inverloch are a few I use. I look for good customer service which usually means talking fishing techniques etc.

Southern Sportsfihing in Black Rock if it's near you. I've found their prices to be very reasonable and it comes with great advice
