I remember in an old post a guy mentioning around the herring island area in the Yarra being a good spot for them.

lang Lang beach on a high, stockyard for the low. Stockyard at low you to cast into channels. Lang lang is very shallow,no water at on on the low, but gummies do come in shallow to feed on crabs. For some reason eel is not as much a prime bait in these areas, possibly because they are actively feeding on crabs, and why historically large prawns work best (however see previous post re advisory)TheLoneTurtle wrote:I know lang lang is good but is it that good? dandenong creek off stud rd. try behind the police paddocks, theres a walking track along the creek. any hole will have em & carp. both good bait for gummies.
