Ok so lang lang was good. Today i decided to walk to stockyard point and honestly its not that bad walk but still was annoying because of the mud rocks that are there i thought it was normal hard rocks and i fell right through the rock hahahaha :(. So put out my big rods straight away and the bloke next to me got a monster gummy 4kg and i was stoked!! While i was waiting for my monster gummy i decided to play around with my small rod and BOOM massive bite i grab it and my top hook had a 25cm salmon (which turned to bait) and a smaller salmon around 17cm. I used the fresh salmon fillets and out it on one of my surf rods. As i was playing with my salmon that were pretty much all undersize i notice my big rod with the salmon on it smash down like crazy!! I grab it and thinking it was a big gummy it was a massive ray. Some how i managed to reel the sucker in. Luckily i removed the hook safely without getting stung. After a while the tide started to change so as my frustration grew from the stupid toadies (the big school of salmon left) i was about to pack but when i notice my line was slack loose on my biggest rod somehow i didnt notice i reel in an elephant fish about 2 and a half kg. Haha after that i stayed another hour and i couldnt believe it when i catch another one in the exact same spot just a few minutes later and then again. I didnt eat them because i wanted gummy and even if i did want to eat the elephant fish i could only keep one anyway. As the tide goes to high i pack my things and go through the long walk again. Realizing that i still had some bait left i stopped at lang lang beach and fished for a bit i caught some mullet and a super tiny school shark. Honestly for me i think today was an awsome day of fishing and i think it is worth it to go back again soon. :D :D :D :D

As long as you are busy catching something, even if you dont take home a feed, it is way better than staring at stationary rods all day

I am wondering which spot would i have more success with (or any success at all) stockyard point? Lang lang beach? or just where the car parking is in Jam Jurrup? I am really usure of this stuff. Tomorrow night i am going and today i am getting bait. Last week i caught loads of fresh mullet, also an eel are those any good for gummies and elephant fish? Today im thinking of getting some pilchards, squid maybe some blue bait. If you guys can give me any spots i would appreciate it. Also here is a pic of what i got at Mornington last week just on the end of the big pier: https://scontent-sjc2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/ ... e=59915B92
