Fathers Day
G'day gents,
After being alive for 21 years without knowing whats Fathers Day is like since I grew up without a dad and grandfather I was wondering what you all do on the day. Does it include 12 hours fishing? Maybe crabbing or something alike? Would love to know.

Re: Fathers Day
It's just the same as any other day in my household
My ideal father's day would be one where I'm on my own and can sleep in all day!

Father's day comes after Saturday doesn't it? cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Re: Fathers Day
Its just a day mate. Any dad who really carries on a d makes it about themself is a selfish bloke.
My dad never asks for a present and says not to waste money on him. He would rather me buy a beer or have a bet for myself.
For that reason I buy him.something he wouldnt buy himself cause i love him to bits.
Im the same with my boys. I dont want them spending money on me, but they do anyway.
We usually just have a bbq and dream about future catches over a few beers.
All the best

Re: Fathers Day
Donut it's just a day on the calendar for the retail industry to promote so people part with their hard earned.
A small gift for my father and a bit of a chat. Any day I get to spend talking to my dad or even better fishing is a good one doesn't have to be a hallmark day.
Obviously with you it would have a different meaning mate but to be honest it does for lots of people.
