I havent caught one in so long :(

But 40gm Gillies Silver Pilchard, retrofitted with a single hook always worked well.
There is always more to learn , fish to catch , places to see and friends to make.

Anything shiny that casts well, I usually use Halco Twisties, Surecatch Knights or Gillies baitfish because they are cheap and available. But anything will be fine. ive found 25gm off the pier and 40gm in the surf to be about right.

They can be fussy sometimes, but generally most plastics or slices will get them.
ive had salmon bustup near the boat and ignore anything we threw at them, same for almost 15 others boats around us. eventually the white squidgy flickbait worked for me.
Imitates a glassie and anchovy which are insanely abundant in ppb. The shift from blues/greens to chromes/whites in the last 12 months is ridiculous. Blue outsold chrome 10-1, it's now almost dead level
