Nice. Orbost wouldn't be my first choice but than again far from my last. Nice and quite and tucked away on my favourite river. Bet you will be glad to get out of the rat race.

Unless you have to, don't rent it out.
It's probably just my luck, but, my iinvestment properties were a nightmare.
If you can, keep it strictly for close family and friends

Cheers I am in a lucky position I don't need to we did think about it but a few friends told us of their rental nightmares so we decided to just keep it in the family
You could rent it out to close friends and family and then technically its a rental and you can claim it back on your tax as negitive geared.

Mrs.Whiskers is happy.

We put in an offer for the house that she took a liking to and the agent has contacted us to confirm that the vendor has agreed to our offer.
Contracts should be signed in the next few days.

Our place goes on the market in the next few days. All we have to do is sell it!

We'll be signing the contracts tomorrow.

Also, the photographer will be coming here tomorrow to do the marketing photos so our house will be on the market next week.

This last week or so has been solid hard work. Cleaning and decluttering and fixing up all those little odd jobs that we always put off for another day. We're collectors of stuff and it'll take us a lot of time to pack it all up.

Hopefully it won't take to long to sell our place and then the big move will be on.

Great news whiskers
Are you buying in Orbost itself or near by ???
For some reason I always liked Cann River, strange as I've never stayed there for any length of time
Then again maybe that's why

Hi Graham, Buying in Orbost.

It's a quiet little town but has enough of the facilities we need. It's close to a ton of good fishing too!

Cheers,
Whiskers.
