Decision Made

Post by Whiskers » Mon Sep 25, 2017 6:01 pm

Being retired, we've reached a decision that it's time to pull up stumps and make a sea change.

Pretty tired of suburbia and all that goes with it so this week we'll be house hunting in East Gippy. Got a few house inspections in Marlo and Orbost arranged for this week. (bushfires permitting)

Never be short of somewhere to fish in that neck of the woods.

Good move. Where the Snowy meets the sea, best of both worlds. Good luck.

Tom.

Thanks Guys, We're looking forward to it yet dreading the actual process of moving.

We've moved house a few times in our lives and the packing up and culling out (we're hoarders) is a pain.

This will be our last move so we're being very, very careful to get it right.

Whiskers

Another option might be Bruthen - a very pretty spot and one I considered. Quite central and closer to transport and facilities in Bairnsdale. I went through the same process a couple of years ago, weighing up and agonising over options. As you say, important to get it right when it is likely to be your final home in your twilight years.

Best Wishes

Mate of mine has sold up and moving to Echuca
But he's going to rent for 6 months before making the final decision
Just a thought
