need some guidiance

Post by brandy0 » Wed Oct 04, 2017 3:07 pm

Hello, I am looking to buy a boat in the next few weeks, was wondering if anyone had any input re flat bottom punts vs v-hulled?
Any comments will be appreciated.

Punts are for skimming across flat water.....the deeper the 'V' in a hull, the better it cuts through waves

i had a v-hull, mainly for murray river boating not so much fishing, wasn't big at all but handled flat water pretty good and also took it out just out of the warneet pier and fishing myself 100 kg and my son 35 kg and still going through a little wind no worries, id go with a v-hull rather then a punt. also depends on what your doing in it. cheers
