Where would you go fishing for 2 days?
With my dad being sick and also starting new job end of feb i dont think ill be able to get away to bermagui for a week or so in march for marlin so thinking of just getting away for 2 nights so relax a bit befor i start a the new job.
Plan is to leave friday arvo / evening and stay friday night and fish Saturday, stay saturday night, fish half Sunday and then head back about lunch time.
Or leave very early satuday morning and launch about 7am and stay saturday night and fish sunday till lunch time and head back.
Only question is where to go?
Prefer salt water and within 3 or 4 hours drive
Dont mind what bites from flathead to sharks to tuna

I used to love going down to lakes entrance for a few days just to get away. Youve got everything from river fishing for bream to the lakes for whiting bream and flatty.
Also if your confident enough you can go out over the bar and fish for gummies snapper and a heap of reef stuff

From Packenham you are within your preferred driving range at Bemm River, perfect for a cupla days with great variety and easy launching.

Yeah I say lakes Entrance also. But that’s my local so I no the fishing. Plenty of different fishing options. No reason why you can’t chase a marlin either. Or if you want a bit more chilled out place try Marlo. Can still go offshore and chase everything same as lakes plus kings if they are on. Dive for a ab also.
