I am that stage of life where I enjoy catch and release as well, probably get more enjoyment watching others catch and release.
After all, you can never see the expression on your own face at the precise moment of hook-up, watching others, priceless
Just the experience is enough for me.

Looking forward to catching up with Russell too, we've finally had a little bit of rain late this afternoon.. looking outside now it's all moved on worse luck as 8 mms is bugger all.. Still I'm sure we'll still catch a fish or two.. One of the main rivers (Mersey) I fish has had a lot of trout die in it over the past few weeks in the lower stretches.. I can't see that it was caused by low water either as it has a regulated flow on it and the water temp hasn't been all that bad, not high enough to kill the trout.. More than likely a spill or run off from somewhere on the lower reaches..the upper reaches the water level is quite low but the trout are fine up there,, looks like we'll hit the Meander River as it running at a nice hight and cool.. there's some poor weather forecast over the next week too, mainly windy conditions..
cheers
