Should get a good day in friday fishing.
Saturday is going to be sloppy and Sunday is going to be abysmal.

Thank God it's a westerly. Hopefully the Prom takes the full brunt of it and the chop isn't too bad.

Not as much shelter as you would think.

The weekend is a long way of yet but a trip to Refuge might not be viable.

We are leaving early Friday morning, might be a case of just going the one night and coming back early Saturday...

How much protection does the prom offer from westerlys? That's about our only saving grace atm... if it were a south-easterly it would be good night Irene lol

Depends how close you are, near the fishing grounds not much is the short answer.

Also remember you have to come back through the entrance.

If you pump bass yabbies at low tide and fish in the channel there's no need to go outside, plenty of whiting inside the port.

Heading there this Friday and going to try Lewis channel. Can you pump yabbies on Snake Island side?

The sand bank on little snake island directly opposite the boat ramp should be exposed at low tide to get the yabbies, that's where I got them but I'm sure any sand bank should hold them.

Yeah he has, just the once and he went out in average conditions too

We are leaving tonight and coming back saturday morning now

12.7 knots north easterly is the highest we are forecast to expect during this time frame. 15 knots is my limit before I pull the pin.

I'll be calling most of the shots on the boat anyhow as I've had the most fishing and boating experience of everyone on there.
