I didn't see any fisheries at Altona, didn't see many fish either, lol. We got on the water at 7.30am and searched for salmon, fished for squid and bait fished for snaps and flatties till about 6pm. Squid were easy enough to find and catch but no sign of salmon all day. We hit up T2, P2 and P3 areas with only crappy banjo, not much on the sounder either. A very long day, up at 4.30am and got home about 1/4 past nine, we had a lovely day on the water but the fishing was a bit tough.

I'm planning on launching from Altona early tomorrow morning. From millzees report, it doesn't sound promising. But I'm keen to get out and have a go.

Fisheries were at Mornington today as well. So they might have been lout in force..

We had a plague of just legal flathead. And undersized pinkies. And some red mullet.
Didn't try for squid

Had a massive salmon bustup neat the pier but they kept moving too fast to get a lure into the school.

Beach launched 11:30 and off the water 4pm. Pretty slow day but worked different grounds hard and ended up with 14 squid and a decent cuttle. Weren’t as big as the spread of 40-46cm hoods from last week. But still plenty big enough.
How was the weed this time?

Was thinking about heading down there. But decided to take dad out instead and have fun day...
