Need some advice, is it worth getting boat insurance?

I have a older boat 1980s has 115 hp Johnson 2000 model , I will do some watersports down the track

I can insure it all for just under 10k for about 370 bucks with club marine (youi were 780 ouch)

Anyway is it worth it or not?

cheers Dave
Totally worth it
So its going to cost about $7 a week for peace of mind. No brainer.

[quote="blacklab99"]Here's my way of thinking on this subject.
Credit to you for asking the question, I think the advice given to you, suggests you get insurance.
Would you drive a car on the road with out it? would be absolutely foolish to do so.
SO, its the same for you boat, if not, let me know where you launch from, so I can stay well clear of you !
Not sure if you can just get 3rd party only for a boat ?
But I would have thought and believe it should be mandatory........
Club marine are great to deal with

I’d say well over 50% of people on the road have no insurance, as long as you have full comp makes no difference at all

Should be, Mandatory third party insurance for any motorized equipment
My car is a 1996 laser & therefore worth "$500", not worth having full comprehensive, but, I've covered the other bloke's $50,000+ car, boat, house ect
Cheers Gra
