Haha I love this forum.

I ended up buying one of them attachable propane heaters that screw onto a small LPG bottle. They have inbuilt regulators... the only thing that can really go wrong is that it could tip over and light the carpet on fire, myself and others wont let that happen. I don't really believe petrol fumes from the fuel tank under the floor will pose too much risk?

@purple of course I'll have a fire extinguisher handy mate. Isnt it required to be seaworthy? Regardless got one right next to my driver's seat.

I spent a night offshore kilcunda this time last year and I can easily say it is without a doubt the coldest I've ever been once the frost crept in around 3am.
I reckon it's the coldest 20 minutes before dawn...a nip of whiskey in a hot coffee does wonders as well
Oh this will be happening regardless!

Open tinny with a canopy, I dont think carbon monoxide would be too much of a problem unless we were using it in a cuddy cab. Should be right.

As long as you stay woke you will be right then.
Why offshore at 3am?

There will always be one of us staying woke if not all of us.

Nah not going offshore just the coldest experience in my life that I vividly remember each time I plan to go of a night in winter
