The Summer Curse

Post by Whiskers » Wed Dec 19, 2018 9:11 pm

It's a beautiful day. Late in the day a warm light breeze that fades away to nothing until the water is glassed out.

The sunset is breathtaking and then, when the sun dips below the horizon, the curse arrives.

Mozzies. Millions of 'em.

I haven't found a repellent that works yet and I've tried a lot of them.

Has anyone found the magic deterrent yet?
;-)

I dunno, maybe i just have yucky tasting blood but for me personally mozzies have never been a massive deal. A bit of rid, aeroguard or bushmans when they are hungry usually does the trick

Its more flies that **** me off this time of year tbh

Good reminder it’s that time of the year. Time to pack the repellant.

When working in the paddocks we apply diesel fuel liberally to our arms and legs, means a shower when you finish the job, but it works.

Do not do this. Diesel has many carcinagenic properties that are easily absorbed into your skin.

Doesn’t look too bad that one. Might get some and give it a go!
