Tassie

Post by re-tyred » Wed Feb 20, 2019 6:38 pm

I am away in Tassie. Been here since January 25th. Not had a lot of opportunity to fish. I brought very basic land based gear. First go was at low head at the mouth of the Tamar. Managed 2 slimy mackeral and a small calamari at the jetty. At monument park two long fin pike. Down at bay of fires just one Salmon. Dunelly canal two short fin pike.. Didn't fish again till we headed south. Arrived at Dover today on a windy cold day with showers. The bay and jetty looked good so after dinner headed down with some said jigs. Nearly froze but managed this Calamari before it started peeing down and blowing a gale.
My shoe is size 10.

There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.

Nice squid.
No trout fishing? It's like trout heaven there. Wish I'm in Tas right now.
