Hey Dougie drove past a few rock ledges around bass strait recently saw people fishing would have been a hike to get down wondered if it was your antics
I did 35 hours over 3 last week for no kingfish and am seriously sick of walking. If you can see it from the road it probably wasn't me.
By water

If you saw a guy in a spot on the penninsula that looks like you shouldn't be able to get there then yeah, that was me. Don't ask how i went.
Different ledge I think but was thinking **** thats a lot of effort to get there. You done as well as me then....
I literally didn't see a non-sh1tfish in 35 hours.

Mate my next plan is to take a camping chair, a little cooker and a live bait pool and park my ass on Sorrento Jetty at 4am for a day. Sick of walking with all the gear for no result. It would have been faster and more effective to drive to JB, fish for a king then drive home.

Everything is a lot easier in NSW i think..
I understand you do like to push the limits, But why don't you try the Long pier. or go on a boat for once and see if you can land one?

DougieK, there is a spot for you on my boat if you actually want the chance to catch a Kingy without tearing your hair out, rolling ankles and being swept off rocks....

I'll even throw you a kwell or 2

I don't know what a kwell is but let me know times and dates and i'll probably take you up on that offer. I actually caved and went out with ducky the other day for no result.

A kwell is something you may well need if it's been a while between vessels lol

I'll keep you posted though!

Ah got it. I sailed 1 man dingies growing up *quite* competitively, just have only fished out of a boat maybe 4 times in 10 years.

Well it's not just you I had a disappointing couple of days but the disappointments make the reward so much better.
Hopefully this time next week ill have a few things to contribute but who knows.
