I normally use circle hooks, what sizes do you guys use for different species?
I usually use about 2/0 for flathead and pinkies in the altona area and 5/0 for gummys and snapper. If you have some spare time it is great to pre-tie some rigs and keep them in zip lock bags that will be easy to tie on so if you get busted off or happen upon a school but don’t have the right sized hook on it’s a very quick change over to the right rig before you lose the school or they go off the bite. I’ll attach a photo of a rig I make, tie the leader onto the swivel, clip a swivel sinker on the bottom and your set.

Thanks guys. I usually use 1/0 circle hooks and tie several rigs and keep them in cliplock bags and just attach or replace as needed. I generally fish with 3 rods and always at least have one running sinker and one Paternoster rig.
