Ok Bug my trip preparation starts differently Knots, Leaders, Lures, Rigs, Bait if being used. Most importantly fuel, safety equipment, Batteries Charged, Oil in the oil tank, first aid kit warm clothing and food then a few beers after a great day fishing.

Bill, I can't believe you've left the Sth Aussie favorite biscuit ( well mine anyway ) out of the box.. ;-)

''Yo-Yo" biscuits, a must for any holiday or fishing/camping trip... Still I do like the variety of biscuits you have there..

cheers

I chuckled out loud when I read your post Adrian.

Let me see what I do have in the box , , , , move this

Yoyo 1.PNG

And get these out of the way

Yoyo 2.PNG

Here they are

Yoyo 3.PNG

There's a layer of Yoyo Biscuits at the bottom. We ALL love Yoyos. They were the first biscuits that I can ever remember having. Mum would always have Yoyos and then also Scotch finger Biscuits. We loved them as suppa with a glass of milk, with some Chocolate Quick in it of-course (gotta help along the tooth cavities :-D )

My kids snack on the fancy biscuits through the day , , , , but the Yoyos and Scotchies are their late night munch. Sometimes buttered (sometimes sandwiched with the butter), even with Vegemite on occasion. But the glass of milk & Yoyo is the stayer.

I still have them, I dunk in Tea :-D (yes, I'm a dunker)

Oh, my kids are 16 & 17, just goes to show, you are never too old to be a Yoyo , , , , so I am honouring my South Australian upbringing and raising Yoyo South Australians , , , , sorry Vic Buddies

Cheers, Bill

For those without a fridge and want to go longer without normal ice consider dry ice (bascily c02 in its solid state) just remeber it can and will give you frost bite if handled wrong and if you cant find dry ice theres these https://techniice.com/dry-ice-packs/hea ... packs.html ive talked to my friend from defence who has used them and they love them.
I have never used dry ice , , , , but a mate does , , , , well did. He (they) use generators and mini freezers/fridges now.

But from memory, they put a layer of normal ice then a layer of dry ice on top. This kept the cost down. Not having used it, I would also assume that you wouldn't get water logging of what ever was in the esky as the dry ice goes to gas

Sounds very organised rb, I am impressed.

I am lucky that I get on well with my ex, and she helps out with some of the things related to the kids , , , , and this morning we were talking about the trip and what to bring/help with. The first aid kit checking was one of the things we spoke about.

Cheers, I better get my "How many sleeps to go" counter organised :-D Bugatti

Well. you had me worried there Bill, good to see you had them in the box..
When we moved to Tassie back in 2000 the little IGA store here in Sheffield stocked them, then he sold the store and the new owners wouldn't get them in.. At least I did have them here for a three years any way.. They were originally made by Menz and when I was at Trade School the Menz factory was only a street away from the school and you could smell them being baked.. mouth watering..

cheers
Adrian
