Hollow inside (not strong),
The ring guide is often only glued with cheap stuff, sliding it in and out and the rings often fall off.
I've seen a good one at Armadale Angling ages ago around $100 by Daiwa, doesn't exist anymore.
3-4 piece travel rod is much better, much more popular.

From everyone said about the tele rod. Is not great and broke easy, I decide that I'll using what I have for now. I don't mind using handline to catch snapper or carp at the moment. I'll buying those rod when I think is time to buy it.Lightningx wrote: ↑Sun Jul 14, 2019 12:47 amHow often are you going to be using this rod mate?Jasonfish1234 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 13, 2019 10:38 pmHi, guy I just wonder how strong is kmarttelescope rod can it handle big snapper or carp.
I’d also probably get a 3-5 piece rod myself

A telescopic rod usually about 40-50cm long. A decent one can cost $80 - $130
You can get a decent travel rod $100-$150 and down to 60cm or so.
A 6ft or 7ft travel rod at around $100-$150 lasts a lot longer, more durable.

Re: How strong is telescope rod? Have anyone brought Kmart telescope rod?
I have a Shimano-something 12' surf telescope rod that I marry with a Daiwa GS-9 for surf bashing on family holidays when the car is too full to take me two-piece 15 footers, and it handles better than I expected. Salmon/tailor are a breeze, and the heaviest fish I have pulled out with it was a green sawfish of approx 20kg at Eden surf. It bends like a mofo, but no snappy snappy so far. It would handle snapper and carp no problem.
From memory, I got it from Compleat Angler for less than $50.
Edit, this the rod: https://www.fishingtackleshop.com.au/pr ... gJE3PD_BwE

As everyone said, its better to get a more expensive but cheap multi piece. You'd risk breaking it on bigger carp then its $30 wasted. Put $5-10 aside when you can save it, when youve got enough wait for a sale and pull the trigger on buying one
