How strong is telescope rod? Have anyone brought Kmart telescope rod?

Dunno if anyone can remember but I bought a 5 piece a while back. Clean snapped in half pulling in an average size squid. The model has been discontinued (go figure) and I got a bcf voucher as compensation, in which I got the rrp price rather than the sale price I paid for :a_goodjob:

You must've hooked a monsta kraken to break a rod in half!

Ok Jason, if you wanted a 2 peice rod (or 2), what length & what line breaking strain ?????
I purchased 10 rods, 7 reels & 2 tackleboxes today (all old)
