I have no doubt the main push for the reciprocal license would for Vic freshwater fishos fishing the Murray. If they did reciprocate the license then I dare say saltwater would be included too...it would have to be. Although the powers to be may not accept our logic. This subject did come up when I had to endure the ministers visit at Snob's Creek a few weeks ago. I should have paid more attention to her rather than drooling over the sausage rolls which were to be eaten after she finished talking!!! Anyway, I digress, the NSW/Vic license subject came up and from what I remember discussions so far with NSW have hit a brick wall...and always have! NSW have too much to lose (income) by the sounds of it. It would be interesting to know how much money from RFL fees that NSW 'pours' into the Murray. This may be an argument I have heard from them before that they use to back their reasoning that they need license fees from everyone that fishes it. I would hazard a guess that the biggest expense is for their fisheries officers to patrol it.

Re: Target One Million....is it working?
I went to Hobsons Bay Council last Friday to renew by boat ramp permit and the lady at the front desk said they are not doing renewals at the moment as they are waiting for the state government to honour there pledge. I also asked now that my permit would expire if I would be fined to which she responded that all the inspectors are aware of the situation and will not be fining people with expired permits. As for the machine being removed, I haven't noticed.

wish Robin Hood would do that at StKilda Marina (paid $14 on Sunday)....sounds like the council has their hands tied trying to abolish launching fees on that one (something to do with public land being privately leased)

Wonder if some councils will try and introduce parking fees instead. #freebugatti

Re: Target One Million....is it working?
From my understanding it is the launching/parking fees (irrespective what they want to call them) that are to be abolished.
When are they going to start putting our boat rego $$ into infrastructure such as NEW ramps is another question?
