I'll admit that I try to think i'm not really scared of anything physical (existential is a different story), but it took me a solid 20 minutes after setting it up to set foot on it.

To be fair, that drop isn't just a physical threat, it looks like an existential one too.

A buddy of mine in NZ is planning a trip to this spot:

He'll be casting into water almost 50m deep. I've fished easier ledges within a couple of kms of that rock, I've looked down at it and said "f$%! that."

Wasn't expecting it to be down that end of the country, not a lot of the typical LBG target species down there.

I didn't post where it is. The guy who called it a secret spot said it is near Long Point, which is what I posted coordinates to. It isn't actually on Long Point.

I’ve fished a lot of that coast from Kaka Point down to Waikawa and tbh I’ve never considered it a game fishing area, the big fish there tend to be far too big to be messing with. It’s a great area for filling the freezer though, plenty of good eating fish.
