Anyone know where I can buy a tub of maggots in the Melb metro area... preferably inner?

How quickly do you need it; was going to suggest myo.

Northside/Compleat Angler in Campbellfield sells them, iirc...

A few fluoro maggots getting around at the G most weekends if you can catch one. They run pretty quick though

When it's summer, that's what I do.

To harvest, I wrap the maggot (gents as we call them in SA) infested fish in newspaper. This, for one, hides/covers the puetride smell. Many many layers. The wrapped fish then goes in a bucket. The gents once matured, leave the fish and wriggle around and around and around and around and , , , , you get the drift , , , , out of the wrapped parcel.

Pour the gents from the bottom of the bucket daily into a small container with bran , , , , vwalla, gents to go.

From memory, Armadale Angling used to carry them in stock.
Check online with them or give them a call.
