The BOM, practically the only site I use for everything except tides.

Perhaps consider Cloud Cover % .... whether you have a habit of night-time or day-time fishing, cloud cover impacts the fishes vision above the waterline....in my opinion.

Gotcha. Now that I think of it some of my best freshwater sessions have been on overcast days.

Might be worth noting whether the barometric pressure is rising/falling/steady.

Often hear reports of fish coming on the bight just before storm front hits etc

cheers

Needs a column for moonrise and moonset. We've been playing with the idea of moonrise for squid recently, would be an interesting variable to also consider.

Personal experience, the calamari always go off when the moon rises. Moon phase matters less, people say full moon is bad but my best session ever was on a full moon at midnight, right on moon rise.

Yep. A forum mod actually put me onto that and it's held true a lot of the time.

If you wanted to get really nerdy, you could increase the level of detail -- e.g. fillet bait or chunk (or whole), Motor Oil grub as opposed to MX40 ... That's probably too much, though.

EDIT

It'd confirm (or not) the correlation between certain baits/lures and target species, trash fish, locations, times, etc.
