Hay Jason a little birdie told me today the Snapper are biting at Lagoona pier in Port Melbourne. For the next 3 weeks or so prepare your self to catch a big red. My preferd best bait Squid rings from Coles or Woolies or a tube and cut it up. I'm going to start my hunt on on the 15th of October. Port Melbourne Station pier right through to Geelong Saint Helens on the rock wall.Good luck mate ,hope you get into them.

I second this, I bought coles squid rings not expecting much but they turned out to be a very good bait that presents and stays on the hook well, aren't very smelly and outfished the pillies I had going on another rod.
